Lip-smackingly delicious food. Stopped in Gloucester for the night to break up a long drive and came across this restaurant by chance. Very impressed by the wide selection on the menu — from all across south Asia. The two staff who were working both were friendly and chatty and very helpful explaining which dishes could and couldn’t be made vegetarian. I had a dal puri as a starter, it was cooked to perfection: light, fluffy and full of taste. I followed that with a ‘Special’ Biryani, which was a tasty treat: Not too dry, not too oily, just right. The restaurant decoration might have seen better days, but I came here for the food, not the paintwork. And the food is superb!

Great curry. No licence so bring your own alcohol if you want it.(There’s a CoOp just over the road that sells beers and wines). Always busy, because its so good. Never had a bad one yet…

What a great place. I was visiting a friend who regulary visits and told that this was the best Indian restaurant in the area. His reccomendation was spot on. Clean, tidy, good range of dishes, quite and attentive staff and a great price. The meal was great. very tasty and a large portion to boot. In fact I didn’t manage to finish despite starving myself ready for the occasion. I’m not sure how much a difference to taste there is bit the all food served is Halal. What more could you ask for. Cheap booze? No alchol served on site so a quick walk across the road to the Coop sorted us out nicely. TY Balti Hut.

A great local Indian with friendly helpful staff. Take you own drink for no charge, great as it’s already very well priced!

I like this restaurant, the staff are always really welcoming and the food is nice. and, like Stelis says, you can take your own drink, which is an added bonus(especially as there is a Co-op right opposite, so you don’t even need to carry it very far!!!) Sometimes there seems to be a LOT of colouring in the food though — Bright red food always looks like there might be something wrong with it! Not a huge restaurant, so no good for a big party, but for a couple or a small group, this place is fab. They do takeaway too, but i’ve never had any from this restaurant.

This restaurant has a great atmosphere, great service and even better you can take your own drink. The food itself is great quality and taste, you can tell it has been freshly cooked. They also runs a takeaway service which matches the quality of the restaurant. I would recommend booking as it can be very busy especially at the weekend. If you forget to bring a bottle the local co-op is just opposite so you can always nip in there beforehand.
