Farmhouse is a deli, and it offers a fine selection of meats and cheeses. However, the best thing about Farmhouse is the baguettes it offers. Sausage sarnies, bacon baguettes, or roast pork rolls can all be made up for you and taken away, with your choice of sauces. They use local Gloucester Old Spot pork and local meats, and, if you want, they’ll drizzle it with tomato sauce. Deliciously retro, they make a tremendous lunch or snack. Just avoid it at mid-​afternoon if you are in a hurry, because there are often quite a few schoolkids in there and you’ll have to queue!
