My youngest nephew has just turned 21 and so decided that after a few glasses of lemonade in the pubs in town a night here was in order. I had partaken of 1 or 2 glasses myself and let myself be persuaded that yes it was a mighty fine idea. I first had a niggle that I might be a little bit older(I’m in my 30’s) than most of the patrons of the club when I looked around and found that I was surrounded by lots of what were meant to be at least 21 years old, but looked more like 15 year olds. Still onwards I thought. Got in and found a not bad club. Ok so not really my kind of music was played(You can’t really dance to Depeche Mode), but I managed ok. It was really quite heart-warming to discover that even though fashion and music has changed since I started going clubbing it’s still all about making a complete muppet of yourself on the dance floor and sniggering at the girls crying in the toilet. Greasy food is about a 2 minute walk away and the taxi rank is about 5 minutes away sober(10 – 15 if drunk) You can get trouble there, but there was none on the night I went.
