My son and I stayed here while in the UK on holiday. Very nice quiet authentic tavern, with plain clean rooms. Pub downstairs, with indoor/outdoor seating, and a very cozy keep with tall leather chairs for visiting or reading by the fire. A few rooms up top. Beds comfy and proprietors nice and cheerful. Close to the center of town, an easy walk to the cathedral and other limited sites there. Experience was like happening by a real pub/tavern and having a homey evening. Great ales and the food — we ordered the best bangers and mash I’ve ever had, though eating hours are limited :).
