This Restaurant/Bar is a real find. The town is were I was raised and so get to visit on a regular basis. Apparently now a couple of years in business, I cannot understand how I’d not been told of it before. On my last trip two friends suggested we try somewhere new to eat and this was a recommendation from a friend of theirs, so I would like to thank those friends(whoever they are) The place itself is clean and welcoming, the staff were informative and friendly without being intrusive, and the food is without doubt some of the best in the area. Sadly the town is not known for its gastronomy, but if food like this can be produced they should be shouting from the rafters. We are not taking cordon bleu, but honest to goodness well prepared meals, a thoughtful(albeit restricted) menu and a second daily menu that changes throughout the week. I can highly recommend the Home made smoked haddock & spring onion fishcake, it took a few minutes to arrive but was well worth the wait. If there was any criticism to be made, it is that there seems to be a focus on(lets call it) less than healthy food, i.e. burgers etc. although I’m sure this is down to demand. Will I be going back the next time I visit friends and family? absolutely!
