Matalan

Cheap and cheerful with a good selection of clothing and also non-​clothing items.
It is for members but membership is free.
Plenty of free parking.
I wish that their men’s selection had a greater variety of sizes.

Matalan is very big and spacious, making it a nice place to shop. You don’t get crowded in as in many clothes shops, but have the space you need to browse and look in the mirrors dotted about.
They sell a variety of women’s, children’s and men’s clothes, as well as things for the home, a limited selection of toys, gifts, shoes and accessories.
The prices aren’t bad at all, although you will need a Matalan card to shop here (You can apply in store.)
There is ample parking outside, which is also where the trolleys are located. You will need £1 to get a trolley, but you get this back when you return it.

Matalan is a great shop! It’s huge and spacious and the prices are so cheap. Yet don’t think the quality is rubbish because the prices are cheap — the clothes was wash and keep their shape/​colour etc. There’s lots of parking space and the staff are really helpful — though sometimes there aren’t many walking around the shop so you have to look for them. It can get pretty busy in there when there’s a sale on. You can sign up with your email address and get discounts and stuff occasionally which is a good idea.

I love this shop! There is a good selection of womens, mens and childrens clothes and at a reasonable price. There is also a very good of homeware which is also fairly priced. I have also found the service to be very good although the queues can be long around the Christmas period.

I love Great Yarmouth as a holiday destination and as we don’t have a very local Matalan I always make sure we visit it before leaving. It is just outside the town centre over the bridge and has ample parking.
It is a light, airy shop and i have never felt crowded in there. The shop is clearly divided into sections and i think is easily navigated. Matalan has some great prices and the majority is of good quality, washing up quite well (always a good indicator in my book).
When we were there at end of October (a weekend break to Gt Yarmouth) the entrance to the car park and some of the car park was flooded quite a bit, it was still accessible and admittedly it had rained quite a bit over the weekend.

This shop is fantastic to shop for clothing for everyone and homeware and is all at really good value but at the same time very good quality. They also do good seasonal stuff to such as wrapping paper, cards, gifts, trees, decorations for christmas.
Although you have to become a member and obtain a card before you can shop here it’s worth doing. This membership is open to anyone who apply. You can not shop here unless you have a members card with you everytime. If you do happen to forget your card they do allow you to have a day pass but this has never happened to me as I’ve always had my card in my purse.
Parking is free outside the front of the shop and there are lots of spaces too.
This can get really busy especially during their sales at the end of each season but they do have sales for up to 75% off which I love going to. Their prices across the store are really low and even better when they have their sales.
