Tgi Fridays

Lovely themed restaurant, tad overpriced, came here with my friends for a birthday meal only my parter and I ordered food as it was a bit expensive for us but we ordered drinks which were considerably reasonable and had a good time! Fun for parties just make sure to book a reservation!

Went in Sunday night with barely 20% occupied in the Restaurant. 2 of us went in took them 10mins to get us seated. Another 10mins to take order… 45 mins for the food to be served… with the rudeness of staff~ Overall FOOD WAS AMAZING. but service is HORRIBLE.

A fun place to be with friends. TGIF is ideally localted but overly priced for sure. The food is ordinary and has never tasted any different. They do not offer much variety either. It’s a good place to go to for drinks though and has plenty of options in that category.

Admittedly I haven’t been here in a while but I really wasn’t impressed. Nice American diner type atmosphere but the food was all bland ‘out of the microwave’ stuff. There was a good range of drinks and the overall prices were ok but it’s noisy and it attracts a lot of children so it’s a great place for a family outing, but if you’re out for an evening it probably best to go elsewhere.

If you like Americano and burgers you’ll be ok here. It’s not bad, just ‘meh’. There are plenty of far more decent restaurants in town for burgers or steaks. I’d suggest Byron Hamburger’s instead, a couple of minutes up the high street.
To be fair it is a popular choice for kids and families. Also in other news they do have a good selection of cocktails as well. So, go somewhere else to eat and come here afterwards for a couple of tasty cocktails.

TGI Fridays is at the top of North Street within the main shopping area of Guildford town centre. We love this restaurant in our family! WE tend to go either when we have family or friends staying with us or for birthday meals out. The highlight of a birthday meal is the TGI version of the Happy Birthday song! The whole restaurant comes to a stop as all the servers sing to the birthday boy or girl! There are usually helium filled baloons for all the children and we have had baloon modelled birthday hats in the past too (can be a bit embarrassing for the older ‘child’ in the group but this just adds to the fun!!) The food is great too and we find the huge choice great and the children like the kids menu too. If you have room there are some great puddings!

A nice chain restaurant serving American themed food and drinks. Take someone there on a birthday and you will get the classic TGI birthday song. You are bound to hear it even if you are simply popping in. Service can be slow at peak times but the drinks and cocktails are good. Often there are cocktail barmen making cocktails behind the bar for you to see. The jack daniels flavoured chicken on the starters is amazing I could eat a whole meal of it. Often have 3 courses for £10 or two for £8 something similar, although the selection is limited. Restaurant is quite noisey so best to avoid if you are looking for a quiet night. Best with friends and drinks.

This is quite a nice branch of TGI’s that serve the usual american themed foods that are all nice and reasonably priced with the desserts being the best! The staff are very friendly but sometimes overly so (I guess that the american theme again?) The children are kept amused by the staff which is good and they get things to do while they are waiting for there food so they dont get bored. As guildford is a university town it does attract a lot of students so can sometimes be full of younger people. Overall a nice place to go for a big plate of food!

As all tgi’s, a good family eating place. it is a themed american bar/​grill/​diner and serves great food for all ages. it is especailly favoured with young people/​teens and does the most embarassing birhtday parties ever — making you stand on a chair infront of the entire restaurant whilst being sung happy birthday to, which of course means they are really entertaining if you go to one that is not your own! also have activity packs for the younger diners. Crayons and colouring etc. It can be quite noisy so if you’re looking for somewhere intimate then this isn’t the place to go for that romantic first date ! Overall very good value and great desserts.

This is a good family restaurant with an American theme. They are good with children, giving them crayons and things to do and usually the dreaded balloons too.
If they know it’s someone’s birthday the staff come around and will sing and generally embarrass the victim.
The food is pretty tasty, but nothing original since it’s a large chain.

TGI Fridays is the kind of place where if they find out it is your birthday, all the staff will sing to you. This means that service can be slow if there are a lot of birthdays (seriously).
The food selection is tempting, and it’s reasonably tasty but generic. The cocktails and deserts are good.
TGIs attracts children and young people, and so you might feel ancient if you’re over 22! The staff are gratingly nice and helpful.
