Traditional pub. Prices are a bit high (about £8−10 for an adult main, for example) but otherwise there’s nothing to complain about. Fresh, tasty ingredients, well presented. Selection of desserts (ice cream, cheesecake, etc.) and starters too.
I particularly recommend the chicken /​beef dinner. The children’s version is a few £ cheaper and still a good sized portion.

We booked a table one Sunday. Travelled 14 miles to be told they had no table for us. They wanted to tell a couple to leave there table because they’d eaten there food!!! I refused to let them do that and left, we won’t be going again. Very disappointing

Really nice food here its a bit pricey on starters and puddings but if you choose a main it is reasonably priced. The staff were very nice and helpful, the pub itself it a bit dark and dingy same with the toilets. If the pub was nicer and brighter it would be more inviting however even with the surroundings the food was lovely. They have very different foods you can try such as boar burger which ive never tried before but would recommend!
Overall: i would go again if i have more money to treat myself to more food.

Traditional family pub, great quality food at reasonable prices, small outdoor area. Fantastic views across Ogden, ideal for families and couples, friendly staff and warming environment.

Do a lovely chicken roast dinner and chicken in gaint yorkshire pudding .
