the rock

The Rock has been around for ages, but has recently been taken over by the people who run the Design House in Halifax.
It used to serve pretty standard pub food, but I went there recently & the menu was really varied, & what you would expect from a good restaurant rather than a pub.
The food was really well presented with some fab serving plates, & the service was good — friendly & relaxed but still at just the right pace.
They do set menus, which are usually limited, but their set menu was almost as long as the standard menu in some places. I’d recommend it!
