This is located next to Marks and Spencers on Harborne High St. It does not look as big as it is on the exterior, and so when you walk in you see how big it actually is. There is seating outside dor al fresco dining, then there is a café area by the large bar, some private booths and a raised restaurant area in the back, so there is something for everyone in all different sizes of groups, or if you are on your own or in a couple. The manager is a really nice man who serves sometimes and is really friendly. Some of the waitresses can appear to be a bit harsh and unwelcoming sometimes, especially when it is busy, often messing up orders, but the atmosphere is always intimate. The breakfast menu is really great and the chef is top quality.

I try to avoid chains but i love Café Rouge in Harborne, often come here for coffee and a light breakfast. I also take advantage of there set lunch, this is three courses off their main menu for £9.95,which they regularly change. The staff are super friendly, haven’t been of a night, but for a cheap lunch, the place is great

Yes, a typical Café Rouge — good value but not always very busy(fortunately). The map shows it at the wrong end of the High Street — in fact, it is a few doors into the village from the Green Man(very roughly opposite the Plough).
