I’ve been going to this local bakery right outside of Harlow since I moved to the UK. It’s honestly a great bakery with good lunch food. Breads and pastries made daily, plus they have a good selection of specialty foods, cheeses, jams, etc. Hell, Rod Stewart and Paul Hollywood have been here too! Plus, there’s Churchgate Sausages next door selling top notch sausages. If I were you, I would ignore that bad review and give them a try(Really? Greggs?). If you have working taste buds, you’ll love this place. FYI, they are busy for Mother’s Day, Easter and Christmas… for good reason.

Over priced and shockingly pretentious. Trying hard to be a boutique country bakery and failing. It’s a few animal sheds that have been painted and filled with furniture. The food is overly complicated and yet bland at the same time. Quite an achievement with the amount of herbs plastered everywhere. As for the staff, well don’t ask for anything like milk or sugar for your tea, and if you want a clean glass, good luck. You’re better off going to Greggs. It’s cheaper, the staff are more cheerful and they’ll give you milk for your tea.

This is the forth time we have been here. My wife discovered this hidden café a few months ago and it’s just what the area needs. Just wish there were a few more like this in the area. Enjoyed the food on offer both for breakfast and lunch. It’s not the cheapest but quality is good and love the opportunity to buy something from the bakery.
