Visiting from California. Very glad we found this restaurant. Plaice and chips outstanding. Great mussels. Don’t leave without trying the sticky toffee pudding — plenty for two to share!

A Harrogate institution, Graveley’s does seafood and it does it well. I took my partner there and he went for the classic fish and chips, while I opted for a fried seafood platter. Both were absolutely delicious, especially the fried scallops on my plate. The mushy peas and tartare sauce were great accompaniments, and everything was priced very reasonably. Expect a little wait if you don’t have reservations.

Been here for dinner tonight, we took our son his partner and our grandchildren(we are young grandparents!!) We hadn’t booked and we should have done as it is Yorkshire Show week, the manager pointed this out but managed to find us a table with a deal that we had to be done in an hour and a half. That was fine for us as it was really a tea out treat for the kids. We all had fish and chips and they were very good. Fish cooked perfectly chips could have been given five mins longer but that’s just my preference. My son and I both had a pint of Peroni and the girls had soft drinks. They had some nice special cups for the kids apple juice which was a nice touch. We all enjoyed the visit, the staff were very nice and even the booth behind us were captivated by my beautiful grand kids. One small warning. Its not cheap at £75 but sure as hell beats those family fun pubs !

It’s an OK place. Nothing special or outstanding here. The service is good, but the menu is price for the place. Been here twice. Had fish and chips and grilled salmon. The chips are too soggy and side dishes are drowned in fat for additional flavor.

i love this restaurant! me and my dad used to go most Saturday nights to eat here, so I’ve pretty much tackled all the menu and enjoyed doing so! i don’t recall the fish being soggy as such but i do recall generous portions, you certainly won’t go hungry here! it can get busy and the atmosphere dosent quite live up to the food but its worth dining out here :)

My first time here. The food was good and plentiful. The jumbo cod was ginormous and the chips were too much to finish. But I must agree with the previous reviewer that the fish was a bit soggy. The atmosphere was lively but loud. Their web site said they were family friendly and by counting the number of kids there I know that to be true. The rest of the menu looked fabulous and there were plenty of selections on there fresh fish board. I will be back but it won’t be for the fish & chips.

Meh. The fish and chips are all right here, but they tend to be a bit on the soggy side. I’d rather make the trip to Knaresborough to Drake’s, but this’ll do in a pinch.
