I walked my dog up here last week and had a lovely cold pint in the beer garden. The staff were friendly and the beer was nice and cold. However, a couple of days later, I went up there for lunch with my mum and brother, I had noticed that although there was an Indian menu, they had also kept a traditional English menu so we thought we’d try it. When we went in, we were met with the most awful strong smell of curry(it was only just gone 12 way too early for that intensity of smell) and the English menu looked awful. We left and went down the road to the garden centre which has a lovely selection of food for lunch. I think the new owners really need to sort their menus out if they want to keep the summer dog walkers custom. As the pub has been through so many owners in the last few years, it’d be a good idea!!! I’d love a nice curry in the evening, but in the daytime, I want light fresh ingredients in a nice bit of fresh bread!!! I’ve been a customer here since I was a kid, well over 20 years, so please Case is Altered, sort it out!!!

Rating des Ortes: 4 London, United Kingdom
This Cosy Pub sits isolated on the Old Redding View point. It never fails to provide a great view over London, especially in summer when the outside decking area is in full swing. However, The Case Is Altered is not to be ignored in the winter as the mismatched chairs, wooden décor and warm paintings transform it from a lively summer hot spot to a great date place. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The menu, while unadventurous, includes the standard favourites with a nice gastro-pub twist(fish and chips, steak and chips, burgers, etc) ensuring that there is something for even the fussiest eater. I recommend the beer battered fish and hand cut chips, as well any of the desserts. a little word of warning, the car park next door doubles up as a dogging site late at night, I guess for some that just means that the fun doesn’t necessarily have to end at dinner
