Cheap and sloppy fare, I wouldn’t go back their again, the food was like I could cook at home and to honest mine would taste better. I didn’t appreciate the over attending owner. I would rather save up more and go to the Taste of China in Harrow. It’s just dull food for people who have been accustomed to mediocre Chinese restaurants in the UK for far too long. I wouldn’t recommend it.

When I’m visiting my Irish friends in London this is where they all go for Chinese food. «Steve’s» is what they call it after the owners name. Staff always very helpful but Steve steals the show if he’s there. Names not a problem to him once he has met you once of twice and he always remembers the connection. You will not leave the place hungry or if sake is your thing sober. He wants you to stay there as long as possible. Not a bad thing. No rush to turn the tables around to new customers like some other places. Restaurant is not that big but if you book a big party in advance there is no probs. I have only been in there for evening meals but there seems to be lunch specials and Ungrynell has talked about that below. Food is very good and tasty with large portions. Highly recommended and I spent St Patrick’s day evening in there last year. Irish in London on Paddy’s day in a Chinese. A melting pot of cultures…

Lunch for £5? Yes — that’s a starter, main meal which includes rice and a drink, too! The set lunch menu has numerous choices including many veggie options. The staff are extremely friendly and remember a lot of their customers by name. It may be a bit off the beaten track for you but, if you’re in the area, you should definitely give it a try. There’s a free car park just off of Belmont Circle, between the shops and Belmont Circle Health Centre(just round the corner from the restaurant).
