Dragon Bars

Excellent gastro-​pub food. We tried the pork belly, sea bass and lamb. All were cooked with great flavours. The mashed potatoes that came with the pork belly were amazing. Music is not too loud so you can talk. Good place for a meal in Hastings!

One of the more classier establishments of the town, Dragon bar pulls in an eclectic crowd. It’s a small and intimate place perfect for a quite drink with friends or relaxed meal with a loved one.
The food is very well presented and put together. A fresh and seasonal Menu option displayed in traditional chalk-​board style above the bar. Very out of place for Hastings, from not only an ambience and offering perspective but also price. The uniqueness has a premium and you will feel you are paying London prices, but with so many commuters and families escaping to the seaside resort from the smoke it won’t fail on that point.
Situated in the Old town it is popular amongst the touristy types, but has it’s own loyal clientèle. The difference between the wine bars in London and in Hastings, is you won’t feel uncomfortable. The atmosphere here in the Dragon Bar is unpretentious and genuinely relaxed.
A great wine and whiskey selection it is for those with a more concerning taste and for those of whom Yates just won’t do tonight.
