The Blunsdon Arms

Quite a few problems that will mean I wont go back again which is a shame as it used to be quite a nice place.
We went early on a Saturday evening and it wasn’t busy but every other table was stacked with dirty plates. The walls had food splattered up them which had obviously been there a while. The tables where sticky and the wine glasses we were given where dirty (I mean when I wiped them with a napkin it was dark grime)
For my meal I had the pulled beef chilli which tasted ok but the rice wasn’t cooked properly and I ordered a portion of onion rings that where dripping with grease.
The staff where pretty lethargic and in all made for a pretty poor ambience. Wouldn’t bother going back.

This was my local for a short while until I found somewhere else. The service is very slow, the staff are unwelcoming, drinks are over priced and the food is not worth the money. I avoid this place like the plague.

just had a meal took along time to arrive it was cold and veg were hard got sent back, yes was hot but beef was tuff .then puddings came which one was

Cute little place as it’s around the corner from where I live. Nice menu selection and prices are very reasonable. Love the burgers there!

Children under 14 aren’t allowed in, so its the ideal quiet, relaxed place for a good catch up.
The ale, beer and wine selection is great with the usual array of spirits and mixers to top it off.
The food is a step above your average pub grub and the menu is wider than average too. It comes at a price but its still fairly reasonable considering the portion size. The sharing plates are the best value for money.
They put out boardgames to encourage people to come in and stay awhile and its so cozy by the fire in the winter.
The décor is a little yuppyish and ‘modern’ (my mother calls it a ‘plastic pub’) but with the right company you can easily forget that.
There’s no karaōke here which is a big plus!
Not as cheap for drinks as some in the area and they occasionally grumble about making cocktails but its my preferred local and therefore I’ll only knock 1star off of them.

Very good value for money on freshly prepared food.
Good range of drinks available and good atmosphere.
Great place to meet up witha few friends for drinks.
