Brilliant place. Some sandwiches and baguettes ready made, and will make anything you want in any combination on demand too. Cakes, bread and other goodies all made on the premises. Good value, friendly quick service. It’s also open early in the morning for the commute. The perfect down to earth antidote to the posing, pricey and poor service of Maison Blanc opposite.

The last bakery in Henley! Thankfully, though, it is(and was) the best bakery in Henley. A huge range of produce — all fresh, all tasty and all well priced — will drag you in as you walk past. Why not pop in on your way down to the river for a sausage roll or fresh sandwich.

The 5 stars are purely for the Harvester loaf. It is all the best things in a loaf. Kind of chewy in the middle with a nice crunchy outside. I know you’re thinking but surely it’s just a loaf of bread? Nope — really it’s so much better than that. I travel in from Reading just for their bread — I know that probably makes me a bit sad, but seriously you should try one, you’ll find it hard to return to that soggy supermarket stuff I can assure you

This place is good — but the price of their rather fine sausage rolls seems to be increasing almost on a daily basis. A 15p hike over the last 12 months is certainly an inflation buster. Still, here is good food, made with fine ingrediance but still quite expensive for a bakery. I wonder if the EU nazis are going to pull them on their ‘Paradise’ cake. Some might say that Henley is paradise well, compaired to Watford, i suppose it is. The freshley made sarnis are also very good too. The service has improved since that rather rude girl from Poland is not working there anymore.
