Nice interior, seems small when you first enter, but it opens up in surprising directions. Our afternoon tea and scones tasted fine but not outstanding, for a very reasonable price. The atmosphere and décor were pleasant. In my opinion, if you’re thinking of going to Starbucks, go here instead.

Ascari Café has been in Hereford as long as I can remember and is affectionately know to us oldies as Ascies. It’s a great place very close to the centre of town just off Broad Street. Part of the original old café still has the old American style diner tables and benches. It has been extended either side of these to offer more seating areas. This is an ideal place to pop into any time of the day from breakfast to lunch to afternoon tea. Good old fashioned basic food served freshly cooked at a reasonable cost in a very friendly atmosphere. Give it a try if you haven’t already. Not posh but clean and friendly.

Its a handy café in the centre of Hereford, looks small on the outside but opens up an upstairs area when busy. Lots of lovely frothy coffees being made as soon as you walk in, obviously very popular place. Always got plenty of people in, groups, couples, etc. Snack type meals and a daily specials board, very quick service usually and clean, they sell cakes as well. Downside is a very long jaunt up lots of stairs for the toilets. Been there a few times and no complaints.
