A good size supermarket in a central location. You have to pay £1 for parking as pp says but this is refunded at the till if you take the ticket in with you.

This is close to the railway and bus station, as already mentioned, so it is within walking distance of the town centre. However, if you drive, be warned the location means you have to pay for parking. It is £1 for up to two hours but you can get a refund in the shop(you retain half of the ticket and give it to the cashier, or if you forget, you can take your receipt to the customer service desk). It used to be a nightmare getting out of the carpark to but that seems a little better now they have added the extra entrance/exit. be warne dit is still slow at busy times though, due tp the traffic lights up the road. Now for the shop: It’s fairly small and well laid out, but a bit crammed in for my liking. It is easy to check out the best offers by walking up the middle though as they are all on the shelf ends, which is useful. They also do cake offers in the doorway if you just want goodies! Dare I say it though? Ok, I will! This shop is mainly frequented by the elderly and, as such, getting through the till can be a long process! I have never been there when there is not queues and it seems to take ages even if there is only one person in front of you! Customer service desk: This deserves it’s own mention as I find them very helpful, when you can get them to acknowledge you! I have stood there with an assistant doing their level best to avoid making eye contact several times. I wouldn’t mind if they said they’d be with me in a moment but they just seem to ignore me(in the hope I will go away i guess!) Now for the café: It does a lovely breakfast. I meet my friend here every now and again as we can park, have a decent breakfast and happily chat for a couple of hours. I like the ‘Flying Start’ — bacon, sausage, tomoatoes(but they will give you neans instead if you ask), friend egg and fried bread. All for £2.25 if my memory serves me right. Yummmm! Warning — if you get a coffee and use the latte/cappuchino machine, use the big round cups and not the mugs or you will cause a flood!

Great supermarket next to the train station in Hereford. It has ample parking and has a great selection for a supermarket. I always visit when I go to Hereford.

A well placed shop right in the heart of Hereford town centre. They have a good selection of food. This is my first and usually my last stop when I’m heading in to town. Close to KFC and Odeon too.

This is a great supermarket. It’s located near to the railway station, so it’s great for students to get a snack before or after college. The café is also very good, and serves a nice, and cheap, variety of foods.

A really centre supermarket — one that is local to my nan’s house — it is really handy and provides ample parking and always has everything that we tend to need. I am not sure some of brands are well known enough, but never the less the store is a good store, with quite friendly staff. The car park is really well laid out and i find parking quite easy. The kiosk that sells the lottery etc can get a little bit busy though and i found that a little off putting so no longer get hte lottery from there. I think the main thing about it that i like is that it is easy to find things and it is well laid out. I would still prefer tesco but that is because it is more of a firm i recognise.
