The Prince of Wales in Hertingfordbury, is a very nice village local on the outskirts of Hertford. This pub has struggled for the last few years and has seen a high turnover of landlords. Probably the lack of a real beer garden doesn’t help it during the summer.
Having said that, I like the place. It has recently been re-​opened with a couple of new guys running it, and the food quality seems to have shot up dramatically. So if you live in the Hertford area and are looking for a nice pub whilst walking /​cycling, I recommend you give this place a go. Also has pool table, juke box, quiz nights, live entertainment etc.
