It’s a really nice café. I had the Coronation Chicken sandwich with mango chutney and mixed leaves which was Gormet, they gave you options of different breads. I had a San Pelligrino Lemon drink. The service is a little slow. There is lots of seats and tables. The downside is that your mobile signal is lost. There is on street parking.

Panini is a great spot for lunch if you are in the Holywood area. They have a vast selection of sandwiches, salads and as the name would suggest, paninis. It has a nice relaxed atmosphere and plenty of seating, both inside and out for the warmer days. I’d recommend the bacon, brie and cranberry Panini which is served with a nice side salad and a tomato salsa. If you have room left, they have a wide range if tray bakes and they are absolutely massive

Panini is a Holywood institution, for as long as I can remember it has been there but one thing is for sure Panini is definitely not stale. As other reviewers have mentioned Holywood has plenty of coffee shops to choose from but none of them hold a candle to the evergreen Panini. Panini is very Italian in style but in my head I always think of it as a real Northern Irish café, this is testament to the to the staff I believe as they provide a local voice to go with the Italian swagger. Panini has developed a grove in Holywood but it’s also moved with the times by offering free Wifi and it’s a lovely little spot to nip in for a coffee and send a few emails. Having not eaten there in the evening I can only comment on their daytime menu, which is made up of light bites and salads. These are all crafted to perfection. You’ll be pleasantly surprised when your meal arrives and the chefs have managed to turn a meat salad in to a modern masterpiece. Panini attracts a real mix of clientele; from local businessmen to the older generation to ladies who lunch. At peak times you may struggle to find a perch inside but never fear there is a decked seating area out the front for you to enjoy some alfresco dining.

I had a lovely surprise today when my youngest son requested the pleasure of my company for lunch and as he said he was paying there was no hesitation in agreeing to his offer. Holywood has more than it’s fair share of eating establishments but after some discussion we decided on Pannini which I have to say turned out to be a very good choice. We were shown to a table and offered the menu and asked if we wanted a beverage while we placed our order which we didn’t say no to. While my son went for a coffee, I still love my cuppa and was provided with a nice pot of tea which was just to my liking. We didn’t have long to wait for our order which tasted as good as it looked. We both left empty plates, stopping short at licking them clean! All in all it was a very pleasant experience and the atmosphere was conducive to being able to sit and have a good chat that is when my son wasn’t taking advantage of the free wifi !!

This small and cosy café is a pleasant enough spot for a break from the rigours of inspecting all that Holywood High Street has to offer. I haven’t tried the lunches but was reasonably satisfied with the muffin that I ate and the indulgent cake that I had a sample of. Definately a place to which I would return to try the lunches and delicatessen items that you can buy.

This shop has good Irish farmhouse and continental cheeses, the oils and pastas and other accoutrements from Carluccio, and lots of other vital deli items including the ubiquitous Cottage Pride preserves and freshly baked Continental frozen doughs. The food is excellent throughout and all at a pretty reasonable price. Its pretty standard for Holywood which isn’t known for its greasy spoons, but for a slightly upmarket bite to eat its hard to beat. The staff are a little bit hit and miss. They went from friendly and attentive to a little bit annoyed and short with me and my sister. A nice place for a bite to eat.
