Excellent Chinese Take Away here. Good range of tasty dishes on the menu, always ready when ordered and the prices are very fair. We have been ordering from here for ten years and have been consistently pleased and well satisfied. Our favorites; ‘Sweet and Sour Chicken balls’ and ‘Special Fried Rice’ with a ‘Crispy Pancake Roll’ fills us up nicely for a little over £10. Parking is usually available in the High Street.

My wife and me were staying at a caravan club site near Honiton the 1st week of july, we called to Wing Hong and ordered our take away meals. One special fried rice, one mushroom chow mein and one sweet & Sour chicken, we waited a reasonable time for it to be prepared andwent back to our caravan to enjoy our meal. On opening the food we were very very dispointed with the contents the mushroom chow mein was solid with egg and dark grey in colour, my wife tried to eat it but gagged on the actual taste, that meal went straight in the bin. I started my meals which were also very very poor in both apperance and flavor. We would not recomend this takeaway however it did seem quite busy when we called. perhaps we were very unlucky!

Nothing beats Wing Hong Special Fried Rice, a meal in a dish, or foil container, or whatever(Basically it is every type of meat they do — chicken, pork, beef with a fried egg on top and mixed up with small bits of char siu pork and prawns and a special bb1 type sauce.). My wife says she finds the food a bit heavy, but as I far as I am concerned that means ‘filling and tasty;. I have been eating at the Wing Hong since the 80s and the food hasn’t changed — that is not a criticism, good, solid, tasty chinese food prepared in-house to take away. Perfect for a night in or on the way home from the pub. They don’t do seaweed, though(another black mark in my wife’s book!)

I have been visiting Wing Hong for my chinese take out for a few years now. One of the largest waiting rooms I have ever seen for a take away. The menue is the regular affair. I was recommended a dish with chicken brocolli and garlic. I love garlic, very nice indeed. they also do some sort of ribs called peking which are now one of my fave dishes, sort of sweet and spicy. I would suggest these myself, oh and the curries go down well after a few beers, not that my wife likes me bringing them home as she says it stinks out the kitchen the next morning !!
