Been going here for an number of years, it has changed management a couple of times and with the last change about 3 years ago, the food and service quality has lessened somewhat. On previous visits there we tried absolutely fanastic fresh on the bone lamb balti and a brilliant pan fried halibut smothered in type of green corriander pesto(if there is such a thing) The menu is extensive and covers most tastes. The restaurant itself has two floors and is quite cosy and has a warm atmosphere. The building is a cottage type of structure in the heart of Hathersage. As it has no competition within a considerable radius the lessening of the standards have not necessarily lost them that much trade, there’s no other alternative within 4 or 5 miles at least!
