Macron Stadium

M’Akron Stadium is in M’Akron, Ohio, and is where the M’Cleveland M’rowns play. Only not so much. If you send me an email entitled Bok, I will respond Re: Bok. OK this is dumb.
But the stadium is not.
First-​Hand Experience: More info about my personal experience at this stadium — I am a bit of a w**re for the Reebok. I still call it the Reebok even though it’s the Macron now. To me it was always the Reebok.
I first came here in 2004 and was amazed that bats were flying around all over the stadium! Very cool indeed. When I came in 2005 I was able to see a Prem game here (against Arsenal of all teams) and it was absolutely fantastic. The crowd was packed, intense, and it was just a beautiful night. One of the best stadiums I’ve ever been to of any size, anywhere. Bolton really know how to get behind their team.
I’ve been back in 07, 2011, and 2014, and I’ve used the adjacant retail park many times too. One of my fave stadiums in the country, and a place which every fan should visit.
I’ve been to most UK & US stadiums, due to lifelong obsessions with travel, sport & especially footy (soccer to Americans). Born & raised in England, I followed Oxford United (hometown team) to stadia all over the country at away games, and later Liverpool (fave team) around. Every stadium review — like all my reviews — are from first-​hand personal experience, usually from several visits. In 2011, I was on music tour in the UK, and visited most stadiums for fun in my spare time. As recently as Fall 2014, when I was «stuck» in UK for 3 months, I went to hundreds yet again while travelling. I have pictures of me at most, which I’ll post later. Also, when back in UK I’ll take more pix, and add more stadia!

It’s one of the most beautiful stadiums in the UK. It’s absolutely stunning. It’s amazing that it’s in Bolton of all places. A real palace of a place, and absolutely gorgeous. A small town like Bolton, with a stadium like this? Amazing. Very very lucky fans, that’s for sure. It may be the prettiest stadium in the country.
It can hold almost 29k and is way SW of town but that’s okay. It opened in 1997. The video for Chris Martin of Coldplay singing «Fix You» was filmed at this stadium.
There’s a statue of Nat Lofthouse outside, and one day there will be a statue of Neil Lennon outside ;) Maybe.
