Great little place. Very much a «mom-n-pop» or «hole-in-the-wall» find! Atmosphere is nothing fancy but the people are super friendly, the food is great and the prices are surprisingly inexpensive. Great for a casual night out.

Tried this place because of the high ratings. You would have to be high to enjoy this food. Fried food was fried in old grease, portion sizes are small and overpriced. The positive reviews for this place must have been placed by friends and relatives of the owners. We told the waitress we wanted to share appetizers. The appetizers we got, calamari and shrimp were unbelievably small. Six rings of rubbery calamari dipped in pancake batter and fried, six shrimp(2 large and 4 tiny unclean ed shrimp) in a bowl of butter with old garlic. We complained, the waitress changed from a Portuguese family member to a British waitress to get rid of us. Top it off with it being in a very bad neighborhood, I suggest you bypass this«restaurant».

Great Portuguese place to eat. Food is very good no matter what you order. Not expensive and portions are huge. Staff is very friendly and for you any time you need them.

The Café Restaurante Moniz was a great place for an English breakfast. There was enough food on the plate for two. It was priced very well especially when compared to the hotel across the street. So definitely worth the walk.

What a find. A local Portuguese restaurant with comfort food at a very reasonable price. Across the street from Doubletree and worth the wall
