Such a shame this has disappeared and hope it reopens somewhere else as the staff were awesome and food lovely and fair prices.

Funny setting in the middle of nowhere but great little find especially good with kids. Food is good and not overpriced and the staff are always friendly and there is a nice atmosphere.

I’ve been searching for an Italian restaurant for quite some time, and I’m glad that my first Italian food visit was such a grand experience. Caruso’s motto is: «Cooked just like Mamma used to make it.» Well, Mamma used to just microwave it, so Caruso’s is even better than Mamma used to make it! (As an aside, I should point out that my Mamma tried her best. She was a busy woman working a tough full-time job, so she didn’t have much time to cook a decent meal. If, when reading this review, you think that I resent my Mamma for not cooking me a healthier meal, please, don’t think that. I love my Mamma.) And we’re back… Fettuccine Alfredo is my favorite dish of all time(my number 2 is cake). The pasta here was exquisite, and prepared to perfection. The staff is super friendly as well. A top-notch restaurant.

«Cooked just like Mamma used to make it» is the motto of this restaurant and they don’t let you down. The kitchen focuses on Southern and Northern Italian cuisine and has a really good reputation for its pizzas. That’s what I had all intentions of ordering when I went there for lunch last week but ended up ordering a steak the size of Ireland. It was excellent and really succulent with a really nice red wine reduction. The wine is pretty reasonable here too — I’m a huge Chianti fan and the ones here are really smooth and very drinkable indeed! They also deliver their pizzas, pastas and meat dishes locally as well which is handy if you want a night in.

In a nondescript road of a hundred charity shops(well, about five) leading from Portslade station to the sea on the western edge of Brighton and Hove there’s a small, unpretentious Italian restaurant. The meals are generous and the price’s reasonable and the staff — all Italian I think — welcoming. It’s a reliable place. You know you won’t be ripped off and you know that everyone — no matter how fussy — will find something on the menu to enjoy.
