Cafe Society

Great variety if café food. Lots of gluten-​free options and veggie options. Really pleasant atmosphere and friendly service.

This café is one of Huddersfield’s hidden gems, its down Byram street opposite the sorting office and looks very inconspicuous from outside.
Inside its bright any airy, no mean feat as half of it is below ground level. There are plenty of chairs and tables and some comfy sofas on which you can enjoy a leisurely cuppa and catch up on some gossip. There is also a small seating area upstairs so you will always find a seat.
The food here is great. They do a selection of hot and cold food and some truly divine salads and sandwiches. If you are n a dither over what to pick I suggest you try the Society Club. Three pieces of lightly toasted bread filled with bacon, melted cheese and coronation chicken. Glorious!
The ladies that work here have always been really friendly. When they changed their menu they kindly volunteered to make me things from the old menu even though it would have been more difficult for them. Excellent service and fantastic food makes this place worth a visit.
