Typical Wetherspoons fare, good simple cheap food. The bar tender was friendly, very helpful and happy to swap my free drink to get the discount added for a different drink even though I wasn’t bothered about saving the money. Premises was fairly busy, plenty of people eating as well as drinking. I ordered the gourmet chicken burger, which was well presented and tasted great.

As a building this is one of the least inspiring Wetherspoons I have been in (they have a habit of doing interesting things with old buildings) but that said it delivers what Wetherspoons normally do — good beer and good food at excellent prices. If it says JDW you know what you are going to get. On a plus note the staff are knowledgeable and friendly and the location is convenient for bus and rail travel. Excellent for breakfast before setting off on a trip!

Despite the unappealing building, this Weatehrspoons is a nice enough pub. Good selection of beers on, including one or two from local micro breweries. The food is the same as any other Weatehrspoons, tasty, cheap but nothing out of the ordinary. Its a good spot for a mid-​week meal out, but fairly run of the mill.

It does exactly what it says on the tin. Very cheap booze, adequate reasonably well priced and a huge range. Normal crowd you’d expect in, always well behaved and rarely need to have bouncers on –possibly at weekends. Sunday morning look out for left over curry and chips –nirvana.Decore leaves a little to be desired but this must be due to the fact it’s always packed which can make getting served a problem. Staff told not to keep people chatting at the bar but are always helpful if you ahev a problem. Take kids often for breakfast before the regulars clock on. Fresh orange and veggie breakfast recommended,

What a dump! The staff were very surly and asked me remove my coat (because it had a hood), well it is winter and it was raining. Did so and was frozen. the meals are standard freezer fayre and not very good. The cutlery was dirty and the manageress’s attitude appaling. Her friends were sat around the bar wearing hoods and not asked to remove them. Never again

This pub is fine, if you just want a quick bite to eat — value for money food maybe not the best quaility .
Is a bit shabby but thats what you come to expect in most wetherspoons arund this area now — bit tired and grubby
