We love eating our brunch here, we walk along the canal with our dog, the staff are very friendly and bring biscuits for our dog, as well as the sausage that we get her. They make lovely lattes and toasted current teacakes in particular but everything is nice. Will be eating here again very shortly.

Wholesome home cooking brings a steady stream of customers to Penny’s Pantry, which enjoys an attractive Colne Valley setting by a bridge over the Huddersfield Narrow Canal. Susan and Jim Pawson brought a wealth of experience when they took over here in the summer of 2010, and throughout the day they prepare a tempting selection of tasty snacks and meals, from a variety of breakfast options to sandwiches, lunch dishes, afternoon teas, cakes and pastries. Hot lunchtime specials might include liver & onions with a red wine gravy, broccoli& Yorkshire Blue quiche and cod, spinach & cheddar fishcakes.
