The Crown

Had Sunday lunch here recently as they have always been great. Food was good and all but one staff member were excellent. Shame about the indifferent attitude shown by one, tarnished the experience somewhat.

Quality food; been twice and would go again. Its not regular pub fare — more restaurant like with some healthy options too.

Popped in for a light lunch and they had no problem with us sharing a home-​made burger and chips.
Nice décor, friendly staff and great location, recommended.

We love this pub and like the changes the new people have made to it. Service is always friendly and accommodating with the food of excellent standard, but for value the portions can be on the mean side. The fish and chips is the best plate but the desserts could be improved upon.

Have updated this to 4 stars as it’s vastly improved and the food and service are excellent. The playground is a great addition too. Top marks to the owners. (July 2011)
(old review from June 2010) A very frustrating pub. Good selection of beer, nice décor and very well situated by the village green, but the food is averge and beyond simple fare can be disappointing. Have visited twice in the last two months and the first time the service was very poor, the second time they had got to the start of Sunday lunch service before discovering their beer cooler was out of order. Has an awful lot of potential as they are getting 70% right, but will be a couple of months before I give it another chance.
