Cakes and Shakes

I’m still a fan, but just one thing to update, don’t try the pancakes. Unfortunately they are not fresh, they are from a packet and taste like cardboard :(

the shakes are amazing!, i had a cherry bakewell shake and the wife has a mars bar shake. To these guys a milkshake is a work of art!
Parking is rubbish and it takes about 5mins for them to make the
if theres 10 people in front of you it might be a long wait.

Best milkshake parlour by far!
All of a sudden a lot of pretenders have sprung up in the area but none are a match to cakes & shakes.
I truely cant add anything to the other reviews they are spot on.

Best Milkshakes ever! This place will make you a milkshake out of anything, and have a wide selection of chocolate bars to choose from as standard. The staff are very friendly and will keep the place open longer if you beg them enough. There is a full menu of deserts that are also amazing! Slightly pricey but well worth the cost!

I love this place! This is a small nicely decorated café, just off of Gants Hill roundabout which is open ’til late.
This café specialises in cakes and shakes (obv) but they provide any flavour you want. Their milkshakes are made from bars of chocolate such as Galaxy, Aero, Crunchie pretty much any chocolate bar that they have in stock! They also do Jammy Dodger, Jaffa Cake, Ferreo Rocher and my personal favourite — Oreo! Along with these great flavoured shakes, they also make fresh smoothies which are delicious!
The variety of cakes are also great — again some are themed on chocolate bars but you also have loads of different cheesecakes, sponge cakes, pies, waffles & ice cream. Unfortunately when I normally go here it’s quite late (about 9pm) so there’s little cake left!
This café also serve a variety of tea’s and coffee’s along with wraps, baguettes & panini’s, cold drinks and non alcohol cocktails!
This is not only a great place to buy something a little more unusual than normal but with it’s modernised 50’s style booths it’s also a great place to sit, chat and eat with friends! Shakes are in particular a little pricey at £3.50/£4.00 each but they’re aren’t many places that serve these kind of shakes and stay open ’til late!

Skittles quite infamously profess — «taste the rainbow…» and with Cakes and Shakes’ speciality of non-​alcoholic Strawberry daiquiris your mouth will most definitely be bursting with flavour!
From a selection of delicious cakes presented brilliantly with a scoop of your favourite ice cream, to any chocolate bar milkshake your heart (or indeed, my expanding waist-​line) desire, this place is the perfect get-​away for an indulgence-​haven.
Satisfy your over-​worked, luxury-​starved self to the perfect dessert for as little as £2.50, but if your gym-trainer’s booming voice is resounding in that guilty head, then perhaps grab a light baguette with great, healthy fillings — topped up fresh every morning.
With a relaxed, comfy décor and friendly staff to cater to your every sweet– tooth desire, take a trip down to Cakes and Shakes and reward your well-​deserving self! Whilst I admit that they say ‘a moment on the lips is a lifetime on the hips’ — I say, the bigger the girth of hips, the easier to push out those kids!
