Orwell Country Park

A really big peaceful park. If you your a walking fan, or just want to walk you dog, come to this park. Its kinda far away, but its worth the trip. My dog loves it there, its open and the air is clear.

Orwell Country Park is Ipswich’s newest park and stands on the estuary of the beautiful River Orwell.
There are a couple of entrances to the Orwell Country Park (OCP) — either side of the A14.
One of the more pleasant walks takes you down under the Orwell Bridge and along the Orwell River estuary. You go from woodland to parkland and then down to beach. It really is an interesting walk down the eastern side of the river.
The walks are pretty varied, depending upon which entrance you choose, but it is a large enough area for dogs (who are under control) to be off their leads.
It is worth bearing in mind that some of the park borders on farmland so if your dog has an unhealthy interest in cattle it would be best to keep him on the lead — although there is a barbed-​wire fence between the park and farmland.
