Right at the heart of Keynsham’s high street, the walls of this pub are full of old photos of the area, and in fitting with this the pub seems to attract mainly a local, older crowd of regulars. For beer-lovers, there’s Sharp’s Doom Bar bitter and guest cask ales, plus a range of lagers such as Foster’s, Stella and Lindeboom, or Thatcher’s Dry cider. They do serve food as well, but as I’ve never eaten here I can’t report back on the menu. The outdoor drinking area at the back is okay, but it’s usually full of smokers so can get a bit airless for the non-smokers amongst us!

Not really the first place I would chose to go to, it is quite a man’s pub I would say. It is relatively small and I had a friendly reception when I went in. It seemed that the main custom was coming from regulars who use the pub. It looks very prominant on the outside, but thankfully it is a little more toned down on the inside. Expect to find your usual selection of wines and spirits(and of course beers and ciders) Almost in the heart on Keynsham this is one of the more popular stop of points, probabley because of it’s location and the fact that the outside would probabley draw alot of people’s attention towards it! Especially if they had already had one or two drinks!
