This is actually a review for the restaurant/pub, not the actual hotel. The place is simple, yet warm and comforting. It has a fireplace. You have to order from the bar, both food and drinks. The menu is varied, with an interesting variety of pub fare. I went for the standard fish and chips. It was a very good filet of fish, perfectly battered and fried. The chips were pretty good as well. The accompanying peas were kind of blah. Others at the table had a burger(seemed good), the beef pie(also good) and salmon. Not sure if I would go out of the way to come here but if you happen to be in the area, it’s a good spot to catch a drink and a bite.
