A solid 3* Pizza Express — I am afraid 4* at one of these chains would have to be something special!
It is one of the bigger spaces I have been to but staff are efficient and friendly. On the weekday there is plenty of space so no need to book!
I went for the Pollo ad Astra Leggara — a go to choice of mine. The chicken is well seasoned on top and I love the sweet peppers. The salad in the middle added a nice fresh aspect. However the crust was very burnt.
We also got dessert but I was less than impressed with the new Treacle Tart Cheesecake. The base wasn’t buttery enough and the flavour of the treacle didn’t come through.
They did however have a 16th birthday party and brought out a cake for them with candles and sang them happy birthday which I thought was a nice touch. Along with this they kindly ordered us a local taxi which came bang on time.
Good service, standard food and OK space. 3* it is!

very over priced! left here and went home and got something to eat, as i was very hungry. go to tesco and get a 1.99 basic pizza, just the same

This is a very nicely decorated and clean restaurant just outside the centre of town. The staff are very friendly and helpful although at busy times (usually friday and saturday nights) they seem a bit short staffed and food can take ages to come and service isn’t quite as good. The chefs are very accomodating at removing any items you don’t want from your food as everything is cooked fresh which is good for a fussy eater like me! They only offer pizza, pasta and salad as main courses so not a massive variety. The food is excellent although quite expensive but you get what you pay for. The restaurant can get very cold so we always ask for a seat at the back away from the draught coming through the front door. A lovely place to go for a meal.
