The Crown Inn Middleton

Popped into Middletons on the way into Norwich. Had heard mixed reviews so I wanted to try it for myself. Starters were nice, had the baked Camembert and garlic mushrooms. Steaks however were a big let down. I had the Porterhouse and my friend had the fillet. The fillet was supposed to be medium but came medium rare. Both were served on wooden boards which made the steak go cold really quick. Both meats were tough and not well seasoned. Have given 2 stars mainly as our server was very enthusiastic and the starters were okay. Oh, and we saw a staff member in the car park wearing their chef outfit and smoking and then returning to the building. Won’t be going to Middletons again. Can do better at home.
