Beautifully located on the river with attentive and friendly staff. The menu is well thought out and the kitchen that is open to the outside dining area during the summer is a nice touch. Well sourced beers and ciders top off this gem. Thoroughly recommended.

A lovely riverside pub with good food and drink. I had the roast turkey sandwich with shoestring fries. Bread was a little charred but still good overall. The bacon on the sandwich was amazing. When I think of shoestring fries, I tend to think of droopy fries with a bit of skin still on, but these were very crispy and stiff. Still tasty, but not entirely on brand for shoestring. I always appreciate a pub/bar that has Rekorderlig or Koppaberg, and so I enjoyed the Rekorderlig passion fruit quite a bit. For dinner I had the burger, which was okay. Tasty but not overly remarkable. Dessert was warm brownie with ice cream. Good, but brownie could have been warmer.

I’d leave a big fat zero if possible — extremely rude manager swearing at us when called to discuss the bill.

Even on a dreary day its nice to be right on the River Thames. The Boaters Inn is a great place to cozy up to a fire with a nice cold pint while watching the boats go by. The food here is a great version of Pub food, and the chicken burger is a local favorite. Sunday night is Jazz night and Monday is their weekly Pub Quiz. I always have so much fun when I go to the Boaters Inn and I would recommend it highly to those looking for a friendly place.

This has to be the most scenic pub in Kingston. Nestled about a 10 – 15 minute walk away from the town centre along the Thames towards Ham/Richmond, Boaters boasts the perfect location for a sunny winter’s pint or a breezy summer’s Pims They renovated back in April this year(I think) and added two massive parasols outside, sheltering about 15 tables from the rain. There’s also an outside quick-drinks bar(draught beer and bottles) and they have bbq’s in the summer weekends. The inside has been re-done as well with a much more trendy, stylish place: a large curved bar for hanging around, a few tables scattered around, and a raised dining area of about 10-ish tables large enough for big groups and kids. It’s a very popular place with cyclists like myself who’ve had a cycle along the Thames and am need of a refreshing pint. There’s also a large park right next to it full of kids and families playing ball games and whatnot. Speaking of which, If you’ve got kids, bring some stale bread to feed the swans and ducks. If not, then grab a paper to read outside or watch the park-life type denizens stroll by. The downsides? Well, the outer area is pretty much in shade all of the time due to the outdoor cover and large leafy trees about. The food is not hugely value for ££ in my opinion. Average at best(a couple of traditional pub meals admist a few gastro-like selections, but no sandwiches and a small kids menu). For instance, I think their bbq offering was £8−10 which seemed a bit excessive but not extortionist. I still haven’t been for a Sunday roast, but might try it writing some xmas cards this year. They have a large screen television near the bar for watching sports, but it’s the only telly and doesn’t dominate. Enjoy, and if there’s no room outside, to inside and through the raised table service area to the balcony outside which is perfect for enjoying a snack and pint and watching the people stroll by beneath you!

This pub is gorgeous. If you don’t fancy being in the middle of the chaos in town, then escape here and relax by the river. This is a perfect place to stop for a bite to eat or a drink, if you’re out for a walk along the river.
