As a Chinese and a food lover, chai wu will not be on my recommending list. Firstly the choice is limited but the price for each course is quite high. The mocha dessert is great that is a surprise to me but I will not recommend the dim sum plate. The seafood is great but I can also find better one in other specific seafood restaurants. Overall, the space is not spacious but the waiter is kind and nice.

Very good lamb chop, tender like all Chinese lamb chops, but delicate like western styles. The dim sum are bit depressing, very small portion and 6 of them taste very similar. Red snapper was ok, but too sweet and salty too. Desserts are all good, but can be less sweet.

At first we were very doubtful about this place since it has opened few months ago without any sufficient media coverage or even any customers reviews. We took it as risk & decided to give it a try & write our sincere opinion hoping to help those who are confused about this place as we were in the past. Baring in mind our delightful, unforgettable experience at Haskkan, mayfair which is a chinese restaurant too(you can find my review about it in my page) When we were seated; the waiter has instantly offered their recommendations after learning about our preferences. They have recommended a very rare type of 100£+ beef that she claimed to be offered only in their restaurant & will be presented personally by their chief, we thought it would be too pricey to spend 100£ on the beef alone rather than spending it in 3 course meal. *******their menus: Their menu in comparison to Haskkan was very limited & a bit pricey as their prices ranges from 12 – 20 jumping to 68−98£. Their dessert menu was the most basic section in their menu; it included 2 types of chocolate melting cakes one with vanilla & the other with green tea; the remainings were normal icecreams flavour they had for 5£. *******our orders As to our orders we had crispy duck salad, sea food special noodles, Wagyu beef skewers & berries blast for the drinks & lastly their chocolate ball dessert with vanilla icecream in the inside & hot white chocolate sauce on top. The duck salad was amazing, identical to the one we had at Hakksan, –that became my very fav from that since– it was crispy, with a sweet taste with its added Pomegranate and with a touch of sourness into it; the duck taste is barely visible. I would give the salad 10⁄10. The seafood noodles was sadly disappointing as it was very salty & the sea food tasted frozen & the noodles were tasteless. 3⁄10 The drink was amazing, it looked liked a taste of honey was added to it, it was a blast! 10⁄10 The dessert tasted OKAY nothing was special about it that would remind me of this place. It wasn’t bad either; it had a traditional taste. We were hoping for a dessert with a flavor twist. 8⁄10 The beef –which we had meduim rare-was the BEST part; they were 3 small pieces squared shape beef thus it wasn’t enough! We ordered a 2nd tasty dish from it.10/10 ******overall review I would actually encourage people in London to try it, it’s not surely the BEST Chinese restaurant in London since Hakksan can win in that comparsion so easily; yet this place deserves to be given a chance & be discovered & rated fairly. As an overall i would give that place 7⁄10. Cheers!
