The Plough and Flail Inn does not sell crisps, nuts, pork scratchings, scampi fries, bacon fries, cheese moments or anything of that ilk. The whole point of drinking beer!!! If you are still reading then here is the rest of the review: The Plough and Flail is next to a really cute alpaca farm!!! So you can walk across the road and stare at the alpacas doing their thang(chewing grass). It is a really cute little cottagey style building, with plenty of outdoor seating and lots of grassy verges to sit on. It also has a pretty robust looking childrens play area which I stared at longingly as I drank my Becks Vier.(not because i have an unhealthy interest in children, but because I wanted a go on the swings and possibly slide). The Menu is pretty meat centric, sausage and mash, steaks burgers etc and it has a fish specials board which has just about every fishy dish you could ever want. There is even a kids menu and the place seemed really child friendly. I sat outside and the smell of the food was so enticing I wandered inside to sit on one of the big sofas which were very comfortable. It is quite opulent inside while maintaining a rustic homey feel. I have it on good authority(my mum) that the food is EXCELLENT. So try it and tell ‘em my mum sent you.
