Spring rolls tasted like the bagged ones at the common grocery freezer section Spicy California was edible but not a repeat ever again. Some may enjoy this but it wasn’t on par compared to other local sushi shops/Tesco quick grab sushi. The one good dish I had was spicy yakitori roll. It was tasty for a roll with cooked meat. Overall recommendation try somewhere else. Sorry.

My husband and I loved it! You must get the pumpkin croquettes! They are to die for. We also had a super delicious spider roll. We received complementary spring rolls which is always nice. The dining in area is really small, but we enjoyed dining in and talked with the chef a little who is very friendly.

Visited this place because a lot of Americans recommended it. This place is shit compared to REAL sushi. Very small dining place, unorganised and most of all, food was not good at all. Sushi was sluggish and their katsu was burnt and smelled like perfume was spilt in it. Very disappointing and I do not recommend this place! We paid 60£ for 2 sushi rolls, katsu and California roll that was not how California rolls are made!

Best sushi in the Suffolk area! Love their shrimp tempura, pork rolls, and the fact they have canned boba tea that I love tops it all off!!! They always give you something for free too! Great little place with a lot of character. You even get to sign the walls! :) they will not serve you food they would not eat themselves.

Surprisingly the food was amazing! It’s small and they charge a 10% seating fee. My boyfriend and I only noticed it when we sat down. When you come in, you pretty much write on a piece of paper what you want to order then take it up to the register. We ordered a spider roll, spicy tuna roll, gyoza, and a rice dish(forgot what it’s called). Everything was pretty good! Our meal came with complimentary(6pcs) egg rolls. All portions were decent. Cleanliness is a plus and there’s free parking across the street. The prices were kind of high, but I suppose it makes up for how good the food it.

Food isn’t bad… prices are a bit steep though IMO and parking is terrible so I recommend calling for takeaway. Oh and despite the name, they do have other dishes besides sushi, I’ve posted a pic of one of the many dishes and a bonus, if you spend a certain amount you get a free gift, so far we’ve received a 2 L aloe drink and a 5oz soy sauce bottle:)

I have a sushi addiction and this is where I get my fix! I’ve only been able to try the cooked rolls since I’m pregnant but I can’t wait until I get to eat the raw stuff! It’s quiet small but they’re accomodating. There’s a bar, a few tables inside and outside the restaurant. And if the place is packed, I’ll take my sushi to go. They pack their containers well so nothing comes out! The staff is super friendly too! It’s nice to always get a warm welcome. =)

Stopped in for take-away and ordered the scary cat roll(fried salmon, cucumber & spicy mayo) which was delicious if you are in the mood for something cooked. The Mizuto roll is one of my favorites(crabstick, cucumber, avocado topped with BBQ sauce tuna & tempura) an odd combo but worth trying. I also tried the avocado roll for the first time; simple, fresh taste that was the perfect compliment to our more complicated choices. Not the most amazing sushi but pretty tasty and convenient. I highly recommend calling in your order ahead of time if you can, and don’t forget to bring CASH!

Went to Green Box today with a fellow girlfriend. The resturaunt is quite small with one large table that seats 8 – 10, followed with a tiny sushi bar area that seats 5 and another tiny bar area that seats 5 – 8. I originally sat at the sushi bar but kept sliding off the bar seat. The bar seats are tiny, the average person will have a hard time sitting in them. We moved when a table opened up and were much comfortable sitting at the table. The restaurant is staffed with two sushi chefs. We were the last to arrive, there were many people waiting on their To Go orders and we patiently sat for 45 minutes until our food is ready. It is a first come first serve. I ordered the eel with avacado roll. I like to think of myself as a sushi connoisseur because I have been eating it for the past 12 years of my life and at the finest of 5 star sushi dining. The eel was unagi(fresh water eel) and was tough, unagi is usually quite tender. Other then the eel being a bit on the tough side, it was Ok, I am lenient to the eel because this is England. The other dish I had was the spicy tuna roll. It was by no means spicy or had much of a tuna taste or taste at all for that matter. One complaint I have is the soy sauce containers are so tiny, it is hard to dip your sushi in them. Anyway, I feel that this is an aspiring business, it seems pretty new and will hopefully work out their kinks. I wouldn’t recommend this place for a date night out because there is little privacy, I had the guy sitting at the sushi bar ease dropping into my conversation as he pretended to watch TV. That wasn’t so cool. Overall not a bad experience but also far from the best.
