Last Saturday I was at the market for the Friends of Leeds Kirkgate Market ‘Shop At The Market Day’. It was a fantastic day, where folks were encouraged to come back to the market for their weekly shop, and it gave me a great opportunity to truly take in the grandeur of this wonderful building and the lovely stalls within. One such stall was this; Anick Frames. I’d bought some fabulous prints for my boyfriend at Christmas and hadn’t had the chance to find a frame for them, so when I came across the stall I new I had to have a little look. There are tons of different frames to choose from, in a variety of styles, and a number of framed prints to boot. I found a fantastic long frame, that would easily fit in four A4 prints in a landscape fashion, for only £15. At first we assumed it was plastic, not glass, but it was not so — glass it was indeed! The chap was incredibly friendly and more than happy to help discuss my ideas for the pictures. His prices are fantastic, given how crazy expensive frames can be in other shops, and as far as I could tell the quality didn’t suffer for it. I wasn’t so much interested in the prints — you can choose from a mixture of palm beach scenes, tigers, famous the scaffold working lunch image and so on. But the real joy is in finding the perfect frame to match with your own picture. For cheap, friendly and fantastic service this is the place to go!
