Craggs Shoe Repairs

I agree with Ro on this place, it is a little over priced but still cheaper then Timpson up the road. I made the same trip on my lunch break and needed my shoes re-​heeling then and there. The clip clap of the metal stud that I had worn the little heel down to was driving me mad.
They were very friendly and stopped what they were working on to fix my heels straight away. Even pointed out the sofa they have in the shop so I could sit and take my bare feet off the floor.
While the guy fixed my shoes the lady came over for a chat.
Good service I would go back to for convenience but there are cheaper places.

I’m terrible with high heels. I wear them down almost beyond that little metal peg and then change shoes, rather than get them fixed up, so when I went looking for a heel repair place in town I ended up having to take a bag of shoes with me. On this occasion I only brought along three pairs, and being near Craggs I wandered down the road. I made a brief stop at Timpsons en route, but at £8.99 a pair they had no chance.
So, I got all the way down the road to Craggs and asked how much it’d be. This time the happier figure of £7.50 per shoe for plastic heels came out, and although I know for a fact that Jim’s is cheaper (and Bob’s and Steve’s now we’re naming names) I simply couldn’t face the walk back up the hill and across town. The above would be in the city centre, Chapel A and Headingley respectively, if you were wondering!
I handed my shoes in, got my tickets and arranged next day collection. The lady was matter of fact, not exactly unfriendly but not a barrel of laughs either. That said, it’s a shoe repair shop so I wasn’t expecting entertainment. The next day I picked them up and all was fine and dandy. Three newly re-​heeled shoes that would be as new, if they weren’t so well worn about the edges. Great job, slightly pricey but certainly reliable.

Good old fashioned cobblers and family firm. Can work wonders on anything leather, shoes, handbags, luggage etc! Patched a couple of leather bags for me and replaced zips in bags for a friend and boots.
Think they have several branches, Crossgates, Moor Allerton, Leeds City Centre, Wetherby and Ilkley.
Best cobbler I have found in West Yorkshire!
