Have been a member of the david lloyd gym for just over a year. After a few health problems it was suggested i lost weight and got fit! Had a great fitness instructor who listened to my issues and worked out a programme for me. The gym is very large with a wide range of equipment as well as the usual fitness classes. There is also lots of indoor and outdoor tennis courts as well as squash courts. I love the fact that there is both an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, with both a steam and sauna room indoors . After all this activity its lovely to sit in the lounge and have coffee or a meal. On nicer days the outdoor terrace is lovely. It is an expensive membership but i for one definately get my moneys worth.

On a recent trip to the Gym our car was damaged in the car park by what I can only assume was another member, to make matters worse the careless member had rubbed the damage to assess its severity and then decide to drive off. Kochi Metro rail recruitment( )

I usually commit those mistakes especially when in front of the computer where I don’t really think of anything else but what’s on the screen. thnx See more at:

Personally, I loved it. So relaxing. Great for stress relief. I loved the classes, and there’s a great choice of them too. The instructors were all great. I did a two week trial. When I’ve got the money I will join again. Such a healthy option. Loved the food too in the café.

Until recently my partner and I were both members and thoroughly enjoying attending David Lloyd in Leeds. Unfortunately this has ended in utter disappointment. The gym itself, classes and changing rooms are excellent and the majority of staff are helpful. However the deputy manager, who will not be named, is incredibly rude and intimidating. The drive way is very long and narrow with unnecessary aggressive speed bumps, no speed limit or right of way signs. This has meant on several occasions my wing mirror has come very close to being knocked off. Other drivers speed up and have very little spacial awareness and the pavement even becomes the road at certain points which isn’t particularly safe. So my advice would be if you are thinking of becoming a member and you have a particularly nice and expensive car don’t bother. You won’t be left alone to go over the speed bumps in your own time, with other members preferring to take a liking to your bumper. On a recent trip to the Gym our car was damaged in the car park by what I can only assume was another member, to make matters worse the careless member had rubbed the damage to assess its severity and then decide to drive off. Obviously we were not over the moon but we fully understand that any damage or loss of property in the car park is your own responsibility. However we were told upon joining the car park was secure and full CCTV was in operation. On this basis we asked reception if they could check the CCTV and get back to us. From this point our request was not handles as we would have liked. Nobody rang us back. The matter was urgent as the CCTV is wiped after 7 days. So we asked to see the manager who wasn’t on duty. The deputy manager informed us that the CCTV which covers 90% of the car park isn’t covered by the CCTV camera, this was very disappointing to hear, however he then said that it hasn’t worked for 10 years. On this basis I feel that the membership has been sold under false pretence. I clearly made my views known that this was a joke but the deputy manager took my comments personally and refused to speak to us about it, became stand offish, aggressive and stood over me in an intimidating manor telling me to go away. I tried to ask him to calm down and explained my comments weren’t directed at him but he refused to listen. I am 5ft and female and I found this particularly intimidating and it left me in tears. I am appalled by this level of customer service, how can this be okay? I have yet to receive an apology. I’m sure he would care if it was his car. He then childishly replied bothered when informed of the make of the car. Regardless of the make having your car damaged is upsetting but when you have worked hard all your life to get the car of your dreams and it’s then damaged it’s not the greatest feeling in the world. So a little bit of understanding and customer service would have gone a long way especially when we are paying nearly £90 per month. Never should a customer be spoken too like dirt especially when they have done absolutely nothing wrong. On this basis I feel that members have a right to know that the CCTV doesn’t work and your car isn’t protected. Therefore I hope you will think twice before considering membership at this club if you are bothered about your car.

Great gym, credit where credit’s due. I was a member there for about 18 months and it was great, I really enjoyed it, I ent to lots of classes and I never felt out of place there. The fitness staff were great and really helpful and friendly, never trying to fob you off. The only reason that this review has 4 stars is the price. I was paying close to £100 a month at one point. I would reccommend it, but just make sure that you have a healthy bank account first!

I’m not a gym person. Gyms scare me. I’m not cool enough for them. But none of this really matters if you go to David Lloyd’s, on account of everyone’s friendly/nonchalant enough not to notice you too much, and it’s all pretty laid back. I’m lucky enough to have a mate who’s a member and has kindly let me have a free 12 day pass, which is awesome. I’ve already crippled myself with a Kettlebells class(and the instructor dude didn’t mind that I was a total weakling-lame-o who couldn’t keep up), and I’m going for my third session on Monday. Loves it. It’s not really a gym, as I said to my mate, it’s a ‘leisure experience’(you have to pronounce ‘leisure’ as ‘leeshjor’). It’s even got a Costa Coffee.

This is a good sports centre which has got a lot of parking available in the area near by, you can park on the car park but you got to pay fees for that. Sports centre holds good facilities like a new gym, badminton courts, football centres. Booking your self to use the sports centre is simple just go to reception and do it, prices are high but any one who is a student will get a discount. I enjoy coming here to do my leisure activities its peaceful here, no mess left around clean and tidy sports centre to use.

David Lloyd’s is one of the best and most well equipped sports centres in Leeds. Out in North Leeds just off the ring road opposite to Sainsbury’s it’s in a good location but you’d need to drive. There’s sufficient parking and a fairly secure car park that is patrolled by security guards and also has a valet service too if you fancy it. The centre has a beauty salon, hair dressers, nursery, crèche, sports shop, squash courts, restaurant and bar, indoor and out door tennis courts, as well as an out door court in this sort of weird bubble thing which is great in winter, swimming pool, in and out of doors, jacuzzi and steam room, sauna, full gym and studiosit’s got the lot. Of all the gyms in Leeds this is probably the most expensive, but it’s also the most family friendly. There are always lots of children about, either have tennis or swimming lessons or just enjoying all the facilities. There’s great facilities in the restaurant area if you have little ones, high chairs, microwaves and a soft play area you can throw them into while you relax with a cappucino(or a vodka!!). There is one drawback to the layout, all the changing rooms are downstairs and the stair case isn’t child friendly, a huge spiralling set that are a bit daunting when you’re only small. There is a lift though but that’s not the healthy way! Staff are always pleasant and smart, receptionist in particular are very helpful.
