Went here for a very special birthday, party of 10. Food was only average given the prices, one waiter was grumpy almost rude, the rest were indifferent. Don’t know why it’s so busy.

I eat here regularly and it is fantastic but on my last visit it was better, I ate the single best stake I have ever eaten. We took our 5 year old daughter too who is a little fussy from time to time. The waiter arranged for a special non menu meal be prepared for her as she didn’t anything from the menu, he made her feel really special saying that it would be cooked just for her like a princess, she loved it. The interior is luxurious, the staff are great(the only place I have ever left a £20 tip for the staff when the meal was only £60) All in all the one of the best experiences ever.

Live Within’ minutes of this restaurant and have always overlooked it when deciding to go out for a meal, heard some great reviews from mates but I had the classic Overlooking what’s on your doorstep Disorder. Granted it doesn’t look astounding from the outside But it’s unexpectedly lustrous when you get in. We had a big group of us so we had to be on a larger table which was maybe a bit close to another large table so we found ourselves contending for chair space and airwaves a few times, Goes without saying our table won! No Major Misgivings with the place out of 7 of us there was only one concern, which was with a case of overcooked calamari, The Staff where more than pleased to supplant it with anything else off the menu and it came pretty dam snappy too. So Kudos on that! Now the reason I’m only rocking out the 4 star here is well. It seemed there was something missing; The Prices of the meal and the décor of the place had all the vibe of a superior night out, but just didn’t seem to live up to its own level, so half a Star down for that. And the Final Half is due to some particular fastidious matters that irritated me about the place. But take or leave these as you will: The Lamps Looked Like numerous glass condoms, The Odd purple Ball Flowers kept going in my drink, The Website menu and the Actual menu aren’t the same, the puddings menu I have to say is pretty dismal and the Coke seemed to be really watered down Pepsi. But like I say take or leave these, these are subjective. All in all a Decent place to eat. A must try for anyone who hasn’t yet been. The Food is top notch, really enjoyed my meal, but just seems to be lacking that little something.

Two reviews both knocking a real quality eating place. We have been going here for many years, when bellini’s and now divino’s. Yes it is quit noisy, but this adds to the atmosphere(who wants to go to a place that is quiet and empty. The food is fantastic, and i feel priced just right(1 reviewer said quality of food down to low price, the other reviewer said it was expensive) The staff are really friendly and helpfull and polite. All in all having been to many italian restaurants this is one of the best.

Eugh. Done once and never to be done again. Looking more like a conservatory or double glazing sales base than an Italian restaurant from the outside, and looking like a bachelor vomited all over the interior, seriously, inside, purple suede, looks like MTV Cribs has had a word with the Cribette designers and said, pop in here and make it look silly. It all appears to try too hard, and maybe it is really all in the hope of distracting attention away from the food. If it didn’t try too hard with pretention, then maybe we could accept it for what it is, basic food under the Italian food genre umbrella. The menu prices really are extortionate when you check it against the quality of the grub. Pasta is more tacky and chewy than the intended al dente texture, and my spinach and ricotta just didn’t hit the spot. Flavourless and stodgy really. Steak at £20 really wasn’t worth it, and my friend seemed to spend more time poking at it rather than eating it, as a foody, he really was disappointed with what was delivered. The salmon dish was ok, but my friend was not particularly impressed with what he got for his £13 meal. With high hopes it seems we were all a bit underwhelmed by the whole thing. The atmosphere didn’t help. Loud, but not in the buzz of voices and general laughter department, more the sound of chairs and cutlery noise and general clatter. To sum it up, basic Italian grub, with Italian cuisine prices.

Replacing the long-running and exhausted Bellini’s last year, Divino shares much of the problems Bellini’s did, but attempts to paper of these cracks with some eye-catching décor — purple and white suede give this place a false feeling of real class. Like Bellini’s, Divino has pretty awful acoustics and the fact that it is crammed with more tables and chairs than it should be creates the same loud, echoey atmosphere that often ruined an evening at Bellini’s. Despite the new ownership, the menu is very similar to that of Bellini’s, and offers the usual Italian fare without any indication of creativity or uniqueness. The food itself is, infact, slightly worse now than it was under the old management — it is still satisfyingly adequate(I had the spicy pepperoni pasta dish and it was edible if unremarkable), but it was definitely better as Bellini’s. Divino is usually fairly busy, so they must be doing something right(the attraction is surely a combination of the family-friendly environment and the low-end prices). If you liked Bellini’s and you like purple suede, Divino is the place for you. If you want real quality Italian food, however, I suggest making the short trip down the Otley Road to Salvo’s.
