A transport café struggling to maintain its identity in a part of town that’s becoming more and more upmarket, Dom’s seems to have done well to survive increasing trade from the sort of people who probably think a fried egg sandwich is ‘ironic’. Survive it has though, and through a winning combination of greasy fry-ups, meaty sandwiches and simple cold snacks Dom’s manges to keep its fixed Formica tables crowded with a mix of local workers and hungover students. Plus, you get to help yourself to tea from a huge bubbling urn, which is just the ticket when you’re dragging yourself to work on a cold morning.

Dom’s is a no-frills sandwich shop on New Road side that is a great option for a breakfast bap if you’re in a rush. Nicely located on a road that takes you to and from Leeds as well as being a home to many businesses itself, it is equally popular with office folk and builders. It’s also a good, quick, greasy hangover fix, and, like the the cold sandwiches on offer(which are basic but fresh) the breakfast butties are very well priced. Nice one Dom.
