Homebase

This is a DIY shop with an attached out door garden centre. There is plenty of car parking but the car park is on a funny slope — this is worth bearing in mind if you are buying something heavy that you will take out on a trolley.
The range of stock is pretty good and they have a good variety of paints, plus the paint mixing facility. They have a good selection from budget to luxury on most of the items on sale.
They also have a good range of seasonal smaller stuff like picnic sets in the summer. And it is always worth a browse as they have some pretty good bargains — but not usually what you went in looking for.
They quite often have 25% discount days, usually on a Friday, which they will advertise on a big banner near the car park entrance.
