Roundhay really is a high street with a poor and rich divide. On one side you have the high end, high price designer goods. On the other you have a much more moderate feel with shops that you don’t have to consult your bank account before you go into. This shop sits firmly in the middle, not as cheap as the charity shops nearby but also not as expensive as the exclusive designer shops on the other side of the road. It doesn’t really cater for the fashion forward but if you are after a nice comfortable work pair of shoes then it might be worth a visit. They do also have a nice selection of leather boots and there always seems to be a sale on. Worth a browse if you are in the area but might be a tad disappointing if you make a special journey.

Having already had a browse of most of the shops along Street Lane it seemed only fair to nip into Keith Taylor for a quick gander. I didn’t have a single solitary dime to spend, so it was literally a browse, but in any case I didn’t really see anything that I could have been too tempted by. The shoes within were quite wide ranging, from heeled ankle boots, to calf high boots, slippers, pumps, mini-heels and such like. The main theme seemed to be a range of brown-red-black leather items as there wasn’t a great deal of colour on show. That said, there never is a great deal of colour in the winter collections, I’ve found. I kept coming back to a Marco Tozzi shoe, which was my favourite of the lot and £25 in the sale, but still — not enough to make me in-debt myself further, so I left it. Nice shop, with a fair range, but on this occasion there was nothing for me.

Adding to the doubles that witnesses along Street Lane this is one of the shoe shops. Slightly more down market, when compared toi the snazzier other shoe shoip on Street Lane which nestles between Room 7 and Napa, yet still selling a fashionable, diverse and quality range of shoes with impeccable customer service.
