A West Indian celebration of spectacular colour and energy. The carnival is in its 42nd year and continues to bring people together in a massive celebration topped off with lots of West Indian delicacies to feast on. The carnival lasts a whole weekend and the build up focuses on equity and community involvement. It is a spectacular sight and the air in Leeds buzzes as momentum gathers toward its arrival.
