Matalan

Can pick up some good things here. Only downside is very slow service, even with large queues staff and managers make no effort to get anyone else serving to get the queues down quicker.

Often compared to Primark, Matalan has been around for years, inhabiting large warehouse style buildings, usually verging on the outskirts of larger towns and cities.
I went ot Matalan in Leeds with my mate, who had heard on the grapevine that Matalan were doing a knock-​off pair of some £80 boots she had been eyeing up for just £15. So without hesitation we jumped in the motor and had a gander. Her boots were there. She was thrilled, and went forth into the night as a drunken walking advertisement for Matalan.
Matalan often does replicas of highly sought after garments at a fraction of the price, and whilst when it comes to bags, accesories and trinkets, I am a fan, I can’t help but feel that some of the clothes are of poorer quality that mimmicks those of a supermarket chain.
Have a look around, they sell homeware and clothes. I doubt I’ll be going back anytime soon, as nothing really took my fancy, but just for the look on my mates face when she found those boots, it can be worth it.

If you’re tired of Primark and are fed up of seeing the same old bits and pieces thrown over the floor, try Matalan instead.
They sell clothing for men, women and children and also have homewares and even a party section. It’s a good place to shop to look for party accessories like costumes and even helium balloons.
I come here if I fancy picking up a bargain skirt or some shoes at a lower price. Matalan seem to stock a brilliant selection of skyscraper heels, even if they do kill at the end of the night… hey, at least they look good!
You have to have a Matalan card to buy here, basically, you just provide a few details, get a card and shop away. I’ve had a card for a year or so now and haven’t once got bombarded by mail or emails and the like. Don’t let the card put you off, it is’nt a store card and you can’t pay with it!
