Large branch of McDonalds on a major crossroads in Leeds city centre. Standard food offering. In my quick visit the staff seemed more concerned in having a chat with each other than in getting my order together. Lots of extra seating upstairs with some power points available. Free wifi was very slow, almost unusable, would be a waste of time trying to work here with a laptop.

This branch of McDonald’s is always packed out, so good luck getting a seat! I have never had any problems with the food here, it is of the usual reliable McDonald’s standard: you know what you want, you know what you ordered and that’s what you get. It does have the usual Mcdonald’s problem: i.e. why is there no proper vegetarian/vegan breakfast? For lunches etc. there’s the veggieburger option, for the pescatarians amongst us there’s the Filet-O-Fish(leaving out the big hunk of cheese in it, oops). But breakfast? Oatmeal. You’ve got to be kidding me. Why no Quorn sausage and free range egg breakfast roll? Why no Fakin’ Bacon and pancakes? WHY, MCDONALD’S, WHY?

the place was all new with new seats and modern tables, it had a kind of student feel to it, the food was ok and the service wasn’t too bad either although i did feel very rushed and they didn’t have time for me but all in all it was better than most fast food services id had in the past the toilets were pretty clean too and well looked after,

Quite good service at this fast food outlet, cheerfully accepting one’s bus ticket coupons for the Fillet o’ Fish option with medium fries. Personable waitress, too — Caroline is her name. On the day, loo was sealed up and no tabloids to read — had to make do with the ‘FT’.

This is a decent sized McDonalds, with seating on two levels, and toilets available upstairs. The food is as you would expect from McDonalds, and it is well situated on Briggate so as to be convenient for a quick lunchbreak from shopping. It does tend to be populated with pre-teens and younger adolescents, but it’s quite rare for it to be full during the week. At the weekends, it will be packed, especially around lunch time.
